Teint Idole Ultra Wear Liquid Foundation
Rated 1 out of 5 by brownskin37 from JUST PLAIN AWFUL!!!!! I keep hoping and praying they will bring back the old formula! It took years to find the perfect foundation and when I finally had they discontinued it!( I used Suede 3w) I agree with the one reviewer who commented they should never have replaced the old formula with this stuff and it should have just come out on its own. Now I have to waste time and money looking for another foundation. Even if they did not want to sell it in the stores and just sold it online (like Prescriptives) I would buy it in a heartbeat like apparently a lot of other people. So like many other reviews I have read PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by kk1105 from A classic you can depend on I've been wearing Teint Idole for 34 years and it's never let me down. I began wearing it as a teenager and am now a woman in my 50's using it. Even though this is considered full coverage - which it is - it doesn't feel or look heavy. Instead it goes on creamy, light and natural-looking. For my entire life I've had really bad acne, thus I've always been very self conscious but this foundation gives me confidence to go out in public. Now I have acne scars and Rosacea and the coverage is still perfect. Teint Idole is my secret weapon for looking and feeling great! Check out my photos for a before, after w/Teint Idole only, and final w/full face.

Rated 1 out of 5 by loreol from Why???!!! Why would they discontinue old formula?! Why?! I was so upset when I heard that Lancome no longer has my old shade, buff 2w. Apparently they stopped making this formula and it has been discontinued. I cannot stress how upset I was. I almost wanted to cry fact being that none of the new shades matched me!!! Either they were too dark or too light. There was no in between shade. I am still very very very upset. They should really let their loyal customers know that they will be changing everything :(((. Unfortunately, I had to switch companies and look for a new color. I am very disappointed and for this reason I give Lancome a bad review. Please please please bring back the old formulas and colors!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by LindaK from Terrible Product This product brings new meaning to the phrase "if it's not broken, don't fix it". I concur with all the comments rearding the poor quality of this foundation. For over 12 years, I have been a loyal customer of the previous formula. This new product was positioned to me as the same product with different packaging, but that couldn't be further from the truth. My face has broken out (formula is not oil-free!), the consistency is way too thick, the color is awful and the bottle is difficult to manage. I am desperately looking for bottles of the old formula. Lancome, please heed the advice of your customers and bring back the old product!

Rated 2 out of 5 by truthseeker from Bring back the original! Unlike other reviewers, I don't hate the new foundation. But it's absolutely nothing like the old one, and I won't buy it again in protest and in the hope the Lancome will get the message and bring the old one back. I was a loyal customer of the old Teint Idole- I used nothing else, ever. If I want SPF, i'll put on SPF - i don't need it in my foundation. Whether it's this, or some other change, the new texture is weird, and the "color-conversion-chart" from the old colors is nonsense - the color it recommended for me was way too yellow. I am so disappointed, as i've had to start spending time and money trawling through other brands to find something that works for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Progress4me from This product is worth it....greate coverage I received so many compliments and inquires on how my face was glowing. So I presumed I didn't have the "made up" look but a "boy you have smooth skin". . Don't forget the LA Base for your primer. A must have. It may be pricey but it is worth EVERY penny....it doesn't take much to apply. These products sold me to change my beauty line to Lancome!I have used several makeup products for women of color, which have left me with touching up through out the day, mixing colors to avoid the chalky look or reseaching for an outdated discontinued product. Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra makeup #460 suede# provided complete coverage, color matching hues, and honest long lasting wear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by vineyarder from Bring Back the Old Formula! I have used Teint Idole Ultra for years. I was told in a store recently that the formula changed to 24 Hour. I bought and used it and was so disappointed. The new formula is thick and clogs my pores. It made me break out and I am 41 years old. The old formula had good coverage and was light. I returned my purchase (something I have never done before.) The Lancome representative gave me samples for the Teint Miracle and Teint Fresh Wear. I think I will end up getting the Miracle. The consistency is closer to the old Idole formula. The Fresh Wear is a bit too "watery" with not enough coverage. Why did Lancome have to change the Idole to 24 Hour coverage? Who wears their make up to bed?

Rated 1 out of 5 by LindaM from What happened to my product? No stars This smells like BUG SPRAY! I was upset when I found out my color was changed, as I have been using this for YEARS! It was perfect. Not only did my color not match, but this is a totally different foundation. It goes on thick, like paste, doesn't spread or cover smoothly. I feel like I am wearing a greasy mask. But the worst part that will force me to go somewhere else is the smell. It smells just like pesticide when smearing it on my face. It also makes my eyes water. I don't understand why they change something so great into something like this but I cannot find one redeeming thing about this product and I don't believe anyone who used to use the old formula that likes this!
