the gel nail polish
Rated 5 out of 5 by emmylou from Love This Polish! I have two colours of this polish (Midnight Sky and Flamingold) and I LOVE them. Even with constant handwashing and frequent dishwashing at work, frequent hand sanitizer use at volunteering and day-to-day wear-and-tear, this polish can easily last a week. I use one coat of the base coat, two coats of polish (sometimes the gold needs three) and then a coat of the top coat. I do not have any issues with dry time, and even with adding a simple nail art (a stamp to one finger, which I add an extra top coat for), I can do everything within 45 minutes or less- just the right amount of time to watch an episode of TV while everything dries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by J2019 from Amazing I bought this polish on sale, in the store just before Christmas . This nail polish is the best I’ve ever owned (and I’ve owned expensive brands). The quality is excellent. I don’t even use a top or base coat, and I’ve had no issues with chipping. i wish I had bought all the colours . Definitely buy this polish! ( I can only find in online now). This particular colour is somewhere between a lilac and a grey, and it’s a terrific colour.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NailArtsy from Good price/size. Nice brush. I just want to help you out. Long story short, this colour (05) does not go on evenly, leaving streaks. It is also very sheer. One coat pretty much looks like I’m wearing clear polish. As for drying time, over a dried base coat, a single layer of this polish was still tacky hours later (and since I needed to use tape to complete my nail art, I could not continue until I was sure the tape would not damage the polish when removed), significantly prolonging the amount of time it took to finish doing my nail art. (I check for tackiness by ever so slightly touching the polished surfaces of two nails together. If they stick, then the polish hasn’t dried enough to do anything i.e. get changed, do dishes, or, in this case, do the next step in my nail art.) ...Literally...hours... The brush is nice. It’s wide and rounded at the tip, allowing for precise application. What fails is the product itself. The polish first applies nicely, but this colour is fairly translucent, and is streaky...at least in a single coat. You can also see that the polish pulls strings of product as you drag the brush off the end of the nail. It’s a strange formula, in this regard. Syrup-like. The price point makes it a fun product to try. But I’m afraid I won’t be buying any other colours, due to the streaky coverage and unbelievably-long drying time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nail Aficionado from Excellent! Contrary to the other reviewer, my experience with this polish was excellent. Yes, you need more than 1 coat so it won't be streaky -- most polishes do require more than 1 (in fact Essie's polish instructions say to apply "2 or 3 coats") -- and when I put on 3 coats, plus topped it with a quick dry, gel-like top coat (I used Essie's Gel Couture long-lasting top coat), my nails were perfectly dry (and actually looked as good as a shellac job) in no time. It's an excellent neutral shade of pink, similar I think to the famous "Bubble Bath" by OPI, and, on top of all this, the brush is an excellent brush. Better than Essie's usual brush. So, having bought these at 2 for about $5.00 at Shoppers, I say you'd be hard pressed to find a better product at this great of a value. I'm a new fan and, by the way, I own & use oodles of polishes from all all ends of the cost spectrum and this quality is among the best I own.
