Rated 4 out of 5 by mariefcl1 from Great for an eyeshadow base I purchased Jumbo Eye Pencils in Milk & Black Bean, normally I'm not a fan of chunky eye pencils but I had heard so much about these colours that I figured for the price: it was worth a try. They are very pigmented eye pencils, they glide on very nicely. I rarely wear them on their own because of the colours I chose being a little too intense but I found much use for them as an eyeshadow base. They make any colour on top of them POP!! I also used these for Halloween & fantasy makeup. My only real negative comment is that its really not obvious that these need to be SHARPENED, they are not a twist up and it took forever to figure it out -.-.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Norma J from Why a sharpener? Why not a twist-up? The product itself is smooth and creamy, I apply it all over and smooth with a brush for theatrical makeup. However I was so confused when I first bought it I actually had to look up online how to get at the stuff once I had used the first tip. I was dismayed to find it actually required a giant pencil sharpener - had to get a carpentry pencil sharpener out of the garage - and sharpening breaks it, leaves sharp bits that scratch your skin, and pulls the whole stick out of the applicator... Very disappointed with the packaging for such a lovely product, but I guess that's why it's cheap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shel from Sharpening Trick If u have trouble sharpening this pencil as I did, if your largest size sharpener has an insert like mine does just pop the insert out and then you will get a beauty sharpen for the jumbo eye pencil!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Evelynn from Easier to use if you depot them Those are absolutely great! I use them as eyeshadows or to line my waterline ith a pop of colour and they don't move around at all. They also blend very well. Now, I know that a lot of people had trouble sharpening them, but I didn't even bother. They're actually creamy and soft enough that you can sorta depot them and squish them into a little jar or pot or something. I found a few tutorials on YouTube that shows you how to do it. It might be an extra step but it very easy to do and it's totally worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by phoenixrising from Great as a base I’ve always used eye pencils as a base to hold eyeshadow or make the colour pop. These work great as a base but not so much on their own as they do have a creamy texture which allows for easy application. However, if applied without setting it with a shadow, it will crease and fade easily. The Milk shade has been used for ages in the MUA world as a base to make eyeshadows appear bolder. I have almost all of the NYX jumbo eye pencils and they’re a good product to have in your arsenal

Rated 2 out of 5 by Justin from Blends into Skin/Applies Thin/Almost Clear I bought the Pure Gold colour a couple months ago and have only used it twice. The warm gold colour looks great when testing it on your hand, but unfortunately it didn't apply well to my eyelids and ends up looking almost clear. This product could complement an eyeshadow for providing some subtle sparkles, but it's not really an eyeliner pencil. Too difficult to get a solid, colour-blocked line. Might be fine for others' makeup styles though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by meghan94 from In my makeup bag forever! I have been using Milk for a couple of years now and use it to line my waterline and in the inner corner and slightly on the lid to hold loose pigments and it provides the perfect base to highlight the eyes. I will always repurchase this product, I absolutely can't live without it. When I forget to pack Milk when I travel my eye game seriously suffers - MUST HAVE

Rated 5 out of 5 by kaitlyn from great for inner corner i love this product! i have been using milk for years in the inner corner and it really brightens the eye and helps dark circles. the pigmentation is great in the more vibrant shades as well. definitely a staple of mine. my only complaint would be that i find my self wanting to touch up throughout the day as it does not wear as long as i would like.
