Kabuki Face Brush
Rated 5 out of 5 by Elisabeth from Excellent for the price. I'd wanted a kabuki style brush since I visited Illamasqua's Beak Street shop in London and the makeup artist used it to apply my foundation. I didn't, however, want to pay a ton of money for it. At a tenth (yes, a tenth!) of the price of a more expensive brand's brush you'll get very similar results with this one. While it does lose a few bristles, it's not excessive, and the brush should last you a while before replacing it. It puts foundation on in a way which gives great coverage (but doesn't look cakey), and my skin looked flawless after using it. I bought the larger (body) kabuki brush to apply powder with. This is an excellent buy, and a great product. Don't hesitate!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Crissy333 from Ummm... This is my second purchase of the Kabuki. The first one, I was sooo in luv with. That is why I bought a second. The second brush, seems like it does not feel as dense as the first. I took the second brush for travel, since I use the other one everyday at home. There was a noticeable difference to me on the denseness, it felt very light and airy over my face, which is not what I want. I will probably take a chance one more time when there is a sale. If it is the same, I'll be done purchasing this one from here. Might as well buy a more expensive one I know will work, than having to buy two and hope one will. Bummed, as this was a fave of mine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RedCanation32 from Great Brush! I've been use Too faced Retractable Kabuki brush for a long time and it was my HG brush. However, after using elf Kabuki brush, I fell in love with it. It's even softer and fluffier than my Too Faced Kabuki brush. I just this brush to setting finish powder or touch up during the day. I just wish elf kabuki brush come with a pouch/case or even better if they make an elf retractable kabuki brush. I recently try the new Real Techniques Retractable brush. The RT is good for apply mineral foundation but can't compare with elf brush when using it for powder touch up due to it firmness. I just love the softness of elf kabuki brush but it is not travel friendly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ChiKah from quality I bought this kabuki face brush twice. The first time, it was a charm. I loved it! the bad thing about the first one was that it was so dense, it took forever to dry. I ended up blow drying it (dumb choice-i know) and the tips of the brush got burnt. So I had to buy another one. The reason why I did not give it a 5 is because the second brush I got was not as dense as the first. It was soft but it was sort of flimsy and thin compared to the first one. The second one wastes a lot of my powder and doesn't grab onto the color really well. I don't know if the brushes are going to be like this from now on, but I hope they make it like the previous one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by riotactress from Great for loose powders I bought this brush to use with a pressed mineral powder (Pur Minerals). It was way too soft and fluffy to pick up any pigment. But then I dipped it in my elf HD finishing powder and it was a match made in heaven. While I'm kind of annoyed that there are now 2 kabuki brushes in my daily routine, it really is a fabulous finishing brush. It shakes off excess really nicely and does a great job of distributing my powder lightly and evenly. I haven't had any issues with shedding and it cleans up nicely. It retains it's shape and fluffiness through all my washes so far, and I've had it for probably 8 months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Makeup lover from The Best Kabuki brush ever This is the best Kabuki ever! I've been searching for a kabuki that didn't shed or scratch, and this is the one. Some people complain about the shedding but if you wash it before you use it then it shouldn't shed. I've had mine for several months and haven't had any shedding. This brush is comparable to the higher end kabuki's but not 10x's the price. I would know I've purchased more expensive kabuki's and ended up returning them because the quality just wasn't there. If you want good quality brushes I recommend buying all of the Elf studio brushes, they are all made of good quality and for an unbeatable price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bread from Inconsistent quality I bought one of these brushes, incredibly soft and wonderfully dense. I loved using it to blend out my base. I bought another to give to my sister. When it was still brand new, it started shedding heavily and is now utterly useless and a waste of money. Quality control issues like this have put me off from buying from e.l.f. in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tajhntee from Washes well, quality brush. I've had this for a few months and it's still holding up. I use it every day. I have actually used this to apply cream foundation and powder. It washes well. I usually wash it weekly with my Cetaphil antibacterial bar soap and spray it often with my Elf brush cleaner and it's stood up to all those washes and doesn't shed at all. I've never had another brand Kabuki brush so I have nothing to compare it to, but for me it's a great brush.
