Nice'n Easy Permanent Hair Color
Rated 1 out of 5 by supershopper27 from Not a fan of the new formula I have purchased Nice'nEasy for about 12 years and I have always been happy with it and have never had any problems. Today I tried one of new boxes (I have 5 more in the cabinet since I like to purchase when they are on sale) and I am truly disappointed. My hair is so greasy looking and feeling, it actually looks like it is still wet but it is not. Hubby ran his hands through my hair and his hands were then greasy. I am getting ready to wash it again to try to get rid of some of the grease so I can actually go out in public. I will not be using this new formula and will have to look for a new brand. I am so sad that Clairol changed the product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Candie from What were you thinking??? I have used Nice n Easy for over 10 years. I have always been pleased with the product until now. What were you thinking when you changed the formula? I always looked forward to coloring my hair because it would always be shiny, smooth and soft and the gray roots were covered completely. With the new formula my hair is dull and coarse. The roots are never covered completely - they are always a different color than the rest of my hair. Yes, it takes half the time as the previous formula, but I would gladly spend twice the time if I could get the beautiful results I have been used to getting. Please bring back the old formula!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Evie24 from New compared to old coloring ingredients I didn't like the new ingredients. Maybe not the right word. I used the #5 like I always used, but had several, problems with it. First, when I opened the tube to squeeze into the bottle, it must have had air in it, as it squirted some out on my tile floor (which now has permanently brown spots on it). Secondly, although I did exactly what I also did, my hair is much darker than normal and I don't like it. Thirdly, Two days later (after coloring) after I had been outside, my hair became two-toned with light brown streaks in it; which I don't like either. I want the old kind back. I guess I will have to look for another brand now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dimv from Gotten Better! I have used nice 'n easy for about 20 years on and off. It used to wear off rather fast though so it wasn't my go to every time. I received a sample box from Pinchme and had a chance to try the newest version. This new formula did last longer. It used to fade at about a week and a half to two weeks. This one didn't start fading until almost the three week mark. The color I received wasn't a color I usually use, but it did cover more of my grays than usual. I wish it would get them all, but this is better than before. The smell doesn't overwhelm you and smells much nicer than the chemicals you usually inhale so strongly with most hair coloring products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hopefulhelen from something has changed I have been using this product for at least 15 yrs. Last year about the time the pictures on the boxes changed I found that the product quality changed too. I have seen responses to other reviews insisting that nothing has changed, but my friends and I all feel that the product is not the same. Even though I use color safe shampoo and I don't need to wash my hair frequently the color fades almost immediately like the 2nd week after coloring. Plus I always use the conditioner that is in the box hoping it will delay fading. I have tried using a darker shade hoping for more saturation but it fades just as quickly and I don't get the shade I really want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joyce5955 from Great Hair Color About a year and half ago I had an allergic reaction to a hair color product that I had been using forever. I had to let my hair grow out and go gray. I did not like having gray hair. It made me look washed out. When researching for an alternative I came upon the new Nice'n Easy. Clairol stated not to use the product if you have had a previous allergic reaction to a hair color product. I was willing to take a chance. The product was easy to apply and the color (medium brown) was beautiful. Best of all - no allergic reaction. Not even an itchy scalp. The only one minor thing is the fragrance is more strong than I care for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SusanC from Not Happy I have been using nice and easy for over 20 years. When I saw them go on clearance, I bought the last boxes. How am I supposed to find the color the I normally use? I couldn't find a match even with old box in hand. I used 5N/118A. And what I am hearing out there is the colors don't match the old colors and the conditioner has changed. I find that one reason for changing is so people remember the number is ridiculous. We all remembered our numbers. This was the companies waste of money to change this. If you have any left over 118A I would love to buy them

Rated 1 out of 5 by Listen to your customers from Listen to your customers The old packing and formula were a hit. It was the only formula that was consistent and had natural highlights. The new boxes with the pink flowers look like a feminine hygiene product, not hair product. Even the models on the boxes have solid color hair with no highlights. Looks like a wig and what my grandmother's hair used to look like. Dull and solid colors that everyone can tell is hair dye. Bad marketing and bad product development. Tell your executive team to listen to the market. Read all the comments. Everyone is telling you to go back to the old formula.
