Natural Instincts Demi-Permanent Hair Color
Rated 1 out of 5 by Tris from I miss the old Natural Instincts!!!!! ARG! My hair is orange! ORANGE! After over ten years of using NI Sahara, I had a baby and so didn't colour for about a year. I tried going back to my usual routine with ghastly results. What happened? At first I blamed myself - that my natural colour must have created this dreadful colour, but after reading all these reviews...now I know - you went and changed this terrific product, didn't you? My hair used to be soft and silky and blonde. Why did you change a perfect product? I'm soooo disappointed. Unless I get an email telling me that you are changing back to the old formula, then I guess it's back to the drawing table for me and my hair. What a shame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JudyR from Smaller Bottles? I have been using this product for over 10 years. Until recently, one bottle was adequate. Now, I get about 3/4 through the process, and I run out of dye. (And I am only concentrating on my roots!) I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, but when reading other reviews, it sure seems the bottle has less dye. So today, I had to buy two packages for one session. If you did decrease the amount, PLEASE go back to the amount it was! Also, please give us back the old conditioner... the one in the clear/orange tube. I was able to use it all month long and loved it! The root touch-up packet is terrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ElsieSav from Won't be purchasing new formula I've been using Natural Instincts to dye my hair for several years and absolutely loved the gorgeous, rich, glossy, beautiful, soft, and silky hair it gave me. I am devastated right now reading reviews of the new formula and am so unhappy to report I will not be purchasing it, and now have to find an alternative. There are not many semi-permanent options available and I am legit freaking out! I dont understand why companies change their amazing products into something "new and improved", then frequently go and wreck them (sorry to be blunt). I don't care about naturally derived ingredients; I want my pretty hair back. PLEASE go back to your original formula!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by sarahhh95 from orange hair Totally disappointed in this product. I've used Natural Instincts for years and have always been thrilled with how natural the results were. I have cool light to medium brown hair and I always select a cool shade because I don't like it when my hair gets too red. Not sure what's going on with these products but the resulting color was anything but cool- my hair now has a very unnatural orange tint to it with no highlights- it looks so flat and very dyed. Thankfully i read all the bad reviews on the color boost before I applied that to my hair. I'm now washing my hair twice a day hoping I can rid myself of this horrid tint as fast as possible

Rated 2 out of 5 by BigD from New formula doesn't work Why would you change a formula that had been working for years. I color my wife's hair and Natural Instincts worked fine for years. The new formula doesn't color as well and then having to use the color refresh at two weeks and it still doesn't cover as effectively. You had a winner so why did you want to turn it into a loser. Found an old box of the Hazelnut and it worked great -hair felt good and coverage was great. Is there any way to get some boxes of the old formula or can you point me to someplace that has a product similiar to your old formula? This new formula was a bad idea, kind of like when Coke tried their new formula. Bad idea.

Rated 1 out of 5 by IrishQuilter from THROW AWAY COLOR FRESH REVITALIZER!!!!!!! The Suede color itself is a great hair color. I have been using it for years. This is the first time I tried the revitalizer. It was horrible!!! The thick paste did not easily go through my hair, which was a blessing. The orange colored my scalp and looked like it was turning my hair an orange brown. I quickly rinsed out the product and then shampooed my hair. The shampoo turned orange too. Do not use the revitalizer at all!!! I wish Clairol would go back to their regular format and leave out the packet. I may have to regrettable go to a different brand because I do not want to pay for the "upgrade" revitalizer that is worthless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zbridget from No regrets! I had an "accident" with a home highlighting kit last summer and contemplated getting a buzz cut to rid myself of all the too light peroxide ends that were so light they looked grey. I was afraid of doing this myself at home, fearing that two coloring wrongs won't make it right. What sold me was that it would wash out in 24 washings. The results were awesome! Normally, I am dark, ashy blonde- this color evened out my hair, and darkened up the bleached pieces. I did this last night- all day today, I kept looking at reflections of myself in passing, delighted with the results. This was perfect- not too dark, not too light.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dawn from Not a fan of the revitalizer I used #13,Suede, light brown and the overall color was natural looking and ok. I will mention that I only left the product on for 8 minutes and it my hair turned out a shade that is closer to medium or dark brown than light brown. Natural Instincts does not appear to have a shade that is a true light brown. I discarded the revitalizer this time because last time I used the revitalizer it added orange tones to my hair and left it feeling greasy. I used Natural Instincts for a year prior to the new formula with the revitalizer and liked the original product better. It appears that I am not the only customer that is not a big fan of the revitalizer.
